Breakfast In Broadway – The Cotswold Way!

It’s often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We agree, that’s why we help you start your day with an amazing array of breakfast foods.

Set yourself up for the day ahead and enjoy fresh fruits, juice, cereals and of course – the ‘Full English’… or, in our case, the ‘Full Cotswold’!

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am-9am.

Home Made Marmalade & Treats

Kate is an avid baker, and loves to turn her hand at all things home made. As a result, when you stay with us here at Broadway all of our marmalade is home made following Great Granny Dora’s recipe, passed down through the generations to be enjoyed by all.

Not only that, but when you arrive there’s a good chance there will be a sweet or savoury treat for your pleasure.


What Does Breakfast Include?

We take great pride in our breakfasts, and like to make sure you’re nicely fed ready for whatever your day entails.
We are able to cater to most dietary requirements as well as most allergies, should you need it. If you have any questions regarding your requirements, please call us first on 01386 853577.

Typically, breakfast at Windrush House consists of the following;

Porridge – Hot oaks cooked with half water, half milk and a pinch of salt. Gently cooked in a saucepan on the hob, making it creamy. Toppings of your choice; brown sugar, golden syrup, maple syrup, fresh fruit, etc. GF available.

Fresh Fruit – Selection of 3 types of fruit, peeled and chopped. Some may be homegrown.

Granola Pot – Layers of natural yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit finished with a little cinnamon and honey. GF available.

Back Bacon – Local bacon, grilled, for a healthier taste

Broadway Bangers – Locally produced, seasoned, sausages from our butcher. Baked in the oven for up to 40 minutes to lock in the flavour and not add any additional fat. GF available.

Local Vine Tomatoes – Grown in Buckland, or sometimes from our own garden. Baked in the oven for a wonderful intense flavour.

Mushrooms – Whole mushrooms butter and baked in the oven to retain all the flavour

Local free-range eggs – Supplied by Billy’s Eggs in Stow On The Wold. Available as;

Fried in a little oil
Poached in an egg poacher
Scrambled with a little milk and seasoning, cooked slowly on the hob for a creamy finish
Boiled for 5 minutes unless otherwise specified

Smoked Salmon – Scottish smoked salmon served with creamy scrambled eggs

Avocado on Toast – Mashed avocado seasoned and with chilli flakes served on buttered granary toast. GF available.

5 Beans Baked (Heinz) – Mixed Haricot Beans, Cannellini Beans, Borlotti Beans, Red Kidney Beans and Pinto Beans In tomato sauce on toast. GF available.
